Wireless Networking
Home Wireless networks allow you to chat online with your office or other businesses while you're lounging in your favorite recliner, or sitting at the breakfast table. It allows family members to upload and share pictures on the Web or download music from anywhere in the house. Music from a central surround sound home stereo can be played anywhere and family videos can be edited through the large Plasma in the living room.
Softrim networking experts will survey the home, check signal strength and signal impediments such as solid walls with metal studs, and design a complete network. If necessary, certain locations may be hard-wired with CAT 5 cable.
Softrim provides all the necessary Routers, wireless Access points and Repeaters. Our network engineers ensure that all desktop, notebook, handheld, and tablet PCs can communicate over your wireless network and support the wireless LAN protocol called Wi-Fi (802.11g or n).
Wi-Fi access points use a special value called a SSID (Service Set Identifier) to distinguish wireless networks from one another. Access points are preconfigured with defaults set by the manufacturer. It's easy for outsiders to detect and access a wireless LAN, if the SSID is not reset and new strong password (mix of letters, numbers, and other characters) is used.
Softrim network engineers use high end Cisco equipment with full security support including data encryption and user authentication.
